Pain in the App is a challenging educational tool that tests your knowledge of anatomy, the injury process, assessment and treatment protocols, and rehabilitation modalities in an engaging manner. The app offers a variety of content, including custom artwork, photography, and video footage.

Players have the opportunity to compare their performance to others in their field and strive for the top spot on the leaderboard. By playing regularly, users can enhance their expertise and work towards earning rewards such as free subscriptions to the Benjamin Institute online library of continuing education courses or a one-on-one session with Dr. Ben Benjamin himself!

Users can begin by trying out the free questions or opt for one of the four expansion modules – Injury Process, Upper Limb, Trunk, and Lower Limb – each with two levels of difficulty. In Learning Mode, questions progressively increase in complexity, while Random Challenge mode comprises questions from all difficulty levels to thoroughly test users.

As users advance through levels, they unlock special avatars and backgrounds. Customization options allow players to tailor how they tackle questions and choose to review only incorrect answers or all responses. The knowledge gained from the app can be promptly applied in practice or personal health routines.

Pain in the App caters not only to massage therapists but also to occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, personal trainers, yoga teachers, and individuals interested in health and wellness.
